Coaxial High Pass Filter. A coax filter is a high-pass filter which allows only the TV signal through. This filter blocks the AV CableLAN signal (2-34 MHz). It is used to isolate your AV CableLAN network from the rest of the coaxial infrastructure, either because you don’t want the CableLAN signal from your network to go out and disrupt other adapters, or because you want to isolate this network from the noise, or other traffic, in the rest of the cable network.
